So we adopted this puppy.  She's 11 months old and has spent the past 2 months at a wonderful no-kill shelter that unfortunately is only staffed between 9-5. She's been the best snuggler and she's smart as hell when it comes to "sit" and "down." She does let her puppy flag fly sometimes, and will go into fits of jumping, nipping and trying to eat my clothes... while they are on me!

I'm not sure how to deal. I never really trained Mookie- Jess and Nick did. I've been told to turn around and ignore her when she's doing crazy puppy stuff.

It got out of hand last night when I gave her an unwanted bath. Her nipping turned into biting, and the tug of war with my shorts turned into the loss of one whole cheek (of the shorts, not my butt).

After she calmed down, I decided to share some broth with her. I heated it to a bit more than room temp, and she licked it right up!

Today, my girl has been a dream boat! She seems... Happier, more comfortable. Confident, but with no desire to eat my shorts, literally.
